An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government

of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at the northeast corner of River Road and Schley Road, from A-1

(Agricultural) District to C-2 (Neighborhood Shopping) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the

Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby

amended by changing the following described property from A-1 (Agricultural)

District to C-2 (Neighborhood Shopping) District:



All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Part of Land

Lot 209, 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and being more

particularly described as follows, to-wit:



BEGINNING at an iron stake located at the intersection of northwestern margin

of Schley Road and the northeastern margin of River Road, and from said POINT

OF BEGINNING, running thence along said northeastern margin of River Road along

a curve to the left having a radius of 2,649.24 feet and a chord of 70.81 feet,

an arc distance of 198.15 feet to an iron stake; running thence North 12

degrees 45 minutes 40 seconds West along said northeastern margin of River Road

a distance of 223.27 feet to an iron stake; running thence North 88 degrees 57

minutes 54 seconds East along the line dividing Muscogee and Harris Counties a

distance of 350.0 feet to an iron stake; running thence South 01 degree 02

minutes 06 seconds East a distance of 118.36 feet to an iron stake on the

northwestern margin of Schley Road; running thence along said margin of Schley

Road along a curve to the left having a radius of 805.0 feet and a chord of

197.65 feet an arc distance of 198.15 feet; thence running South 54 degrees 35

minutes 25 seconds West along said northwestern margin of Schley Road a

distance of 140.01 feet to the iron stake at the POINT OF BEGINNING.



The above-described property is being rezoned with the following condition:



All lighting shall be directed internally using deflectors.
