Scope of RFP

Provide master planning services, to include activities eligible under the EPA

Brownfields Grant, for industrial properties in the City?s Enterprise Zone.



December 4, 2002

1. Elevators Upgrade ? Bid No. 03-0045

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit will be held at 9:00 AM on Wednesday,

December 4, 2002, in the Finance Department Conference Room, 5th Floor ?

Government Center, Columbus, GA.



2. Storage Buildings ? Bid No. 03-0038

Scope of Bid

Provide two (2) steel-frame storage buildings, with galvanized/galvalumed

backing and steel siding, at South Commons and Comer Gym. The work includes

construction of buildings on a concrete foundation with 3000-mix fiber mesh

concrete with a 6-foot service ramp and any other necessary installation.



3. Protective Fire Clothing (Annual Contract) ? Bid No. 03-0043

Scope of Bid

Provide firefighters with body protection against extreme temperature,

sharp objects, steam water penetration, hot particles, and other hazards

encountered during structural fire fighting. The contract term shall be for

three years, with the option to renew for two additional twelve-month periods,

if agreeable to both parties.



4. Trees for Planting on City?s Right-Of-Ways ? Bid No. 03-0051

Scope of Bid

Provide approximately 500 trees for planting on the City?s

Right-Of-Ways.

1. Innovated Sports Educational Component Workshops (Annual Contract) ? RFP No.

03-0016

Scope of RFP

Provide Parks & Recreation with innovated sports educational component

workshops. The contract term shall be for one year, with the option to renew

for two additional twelve-month periods, based on the terms and conditions at

the expiration of its term by mutual agreement between the parties.



2. Smoke Detectors for Elevators ? Bid No. 03-0040

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit will be held at 10:30 AM on

Friday, December 6, 2002, in the Finance Department Conference Room, 5th Floor

? Government Center, Columbus, GA.



3. Pressure Washing Services for Civic Center Roof ? PQ No. 03-00006

Scope of PQ

Pressure wash the Ultraply 78+ membrane roof of the Columbus Civic

Center, which is located at 400 4th Street. Vendors are responsible for

viewing the Civic Center roof to determine the amount of work required.



4. Riverwalk - Bibb City to City Mills, Phase II ? Bid No. 03-0024

Scope of Bid

Provide services for the construction of a proposed Riverwalk

Extension between 32nd Street north along the Chattahoochee River to a point

near 38th Street. The work primarily involves clearing, grubbing, grading,

installation of a four hundred foot (400') prefabricated steel bridge and

construction of a twelve-foot (12') wide asphalt pathway at-grade, as depicted

on the drawings. The work also includes installation of small buildings

associated with parking for an overlook area in the vicinity of 38th Street.

December 11, 2002

1. HVAC Controls Repair/Replacement (Annual Contract) ? Bid No. 03-0039

Scope of Bid

Provide repair/replacement on HVAC Controls on an ?as needed basis?.

Contractor will provide service for electric and pneumatic controls on the HVAC

systems at various City buildings. The contract term shall be for one year,

with the option to renew for two additional twelve-month periods.



2. Youth Basketball Uniforms (Annual Contract) ? Bid No. 03-0048

Scope of Bid

Provide youth basketball uniforms on an ?as needed? basis to the

Columbus Parks and Recreation Division. The term of the contract will be for

one (1) year with option for two (2) additional twelve-month periods.



3. Industrial/Commercial Mulching Mower & Repair Parts (Annual

Contract) ? Bid No. 03-0053

Scope of Bid

Provide 22? walk behind industrial/commercial mulching mower and repair

parts on an ?as needed? basis to the Columbus Consolidated Government (the

City). Various departments will use the mowers. The term of the contract will

be for one (1) year.



December 18, 2002

1. Elevators Upgrade ? Bid No. 03-0045

Scope of Bid

Upgrade the present Elevator Control Systems to the latest ANSI A.17

Code for Fire Services Phase I & II. The services are required for the

elevators located in the Government Center (7 elevators) and in the Muscogee

County Jail (4 elevators). Optional pricing is requested for the total upgrade

of the elevators located in the Government Center.

2. Mobile Lift ? Bid No. 03-0052

Scope of Bid

Provide a mobile lift to be used by the METRA Transit System.



3. Re-Roof Columbus Stockade ? Bid No. 03-0050

Scope of Bid

The project consists of the installation of a new metal roof for the

historic stockade prison, including the demolition of the existing roof.



4. Smoke Detectors for Elevators ? Bid No. 03-0040

Scope of Bid

Provide and install smoke detectors in the elevator lobby at each floor and

machine room at the Government Center and Muscogee County Jail. The work shall

be performed in accordance with the GA Department of Labor, Safety Engineering

Section proposed and adopted Elevator Regulation 300-3-6-13(15).
