WHEREAS, Mrs. Alicia R. House, with the Columbus Police Department/E911,
retired on July 31, 2003;
WHEREAS, Mrs. House has been with the Columbus Police Department/E911 since
July 30, 1990;
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
This Council hereby expresses its appreciation for the diligent and faithful
service of
MRS. ALICIA R. HOUSE
who has served with the Columbus Police Department/E911 for 13 years. We wish
for her happiness and contentment in her retirement.

office, retired on July 31, 2003;
WHEREAS, Mrs. Murphy has been with the City Manager's Office since August 5,
1996;
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

WHEREAS, Mr. Ralph D. Pope, former employee with the Columbus Fire Department,
died on June 22, 2003;
WHEREAS, Mr. Pope retired on April 1, 1974 after serving 26 years with the
Columbus Fire Department.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Ralph D. Pope our sincere condolences and
deepest sympathy. Mr. Pope was an outstanding employee of the Columbus Fire
Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Allen retired on February 28, 1978 after serving 10 years with the
Columbus METRA System.

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. James F. Allen our sincere condolences
