A RESOLUTION
NO. ___________
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR AND ACCEPTANCE OF A PASS-THROUGH
GRANT FROM THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000
TO THE PORT COLUMBUS CIVIL WAR NAVAL MUSEUM AND AMEND THE MULTI-GOVERNMENTAL
FUND BY A LIKE AMOUNT.
WHEREAS, Columbus, as the local government agency, is the conduit for certain
grants appropriated by the General Assembly for community service agencies; and,
WHEREAS, upon acceptance of agreements and execution of contracts for each
approved community service organization, Columbus will receive funds and then
process payments to the designated agencies.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the pass-through grant agreement, subsequent contract and funds be
processed by Columbus for the Port Columbus Civil War Naval Museum as
appropriated by the General Assembly.
2. That the Mayor, City Manager and other officials of Columbus are authorized
to take such actions as required for satisfaction of the grant conditions and
amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by a like amount.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held on
the ______th day of ___________________, 2005, and adopted at said meeting by
the affirmative vote of __________ members of said Council.
