A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, O.C.G.A. ? 31-7-72 allows county hospital authorities to be governed

by a board of up to eleven members;



WHEREAS, the Hospital Authority of Columbus, Georgia previously used this

authority to increase its membership from nine to eleven members;



WHEREAS, the Hospital Authority of Columbus, Georgia has now decided that its

operations can be conducted efficiently with a board of nine members and on

February 27, 2003, the Hospital Authority of Columbus, Georgia passed a

resolution reducing its membership to nine members;



WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate to ratify and approve the reduction

to nine members for the Hospital Authority of Columbus, Georgia.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby ratify and approve the reduction of the membership of the board of

the Hospital Authority of Columbus, Georgia from eleven members to nine

members. We hereby authorize the Clerk of Council to assist the Hospital

Authority of Columbus, Georgia with any necessary nominations and appointments

in order to effect the change in membership to nine members.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the

11th day of March, 2003, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
