WHEREAS, the parking garage located at the corner of 9th Street and Broadway

has been in service since March, 2000.



WHEREAS, the grand opening for the Columbus RiverCenter is now scheduled for

April, 2002;



WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate at this time to officially name the

parking garage the RiverCenter Parking Garage.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby designate and name the parking garage located at the corner of 9th

Street and Broadway (919 Broadway) as the RiverCenter Parking Garage. The City

Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to erect appropriate signs and

markers to reflect this official designation.
