A RESOLUTION



NO.



WHEREAS, Columbus Ledger-Enquirer Executive Editor, Mike Burbach, will be

leaving Columbus to take a new job in Akron, Ohio;



WHEREAS, Mr. Burbach will become the managing editor of the Akron Beacon

Journal;



WHEREAS, Mr. Burbach has been a journalist for more than twenty years and

joined the Ledger-Enquirer staff in 1997;



WHEREAS, he serves on the Georgia First Amendment Foundation board and has

pushed for local and state officials to comply with the Georgia Open Records

Act.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend Mr. Mike Burbach for his service to the community as the

Executive Editor of the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer. We wish him every success as

he assumes his new duties at the Akron Beacon Journal in Ohio. Let a copy of

this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Mike Burbach and the Columbus

Ledger-Enquirer.
