WHEREAS, Hardaway High School volleyball Coach Michael Fowler was recently

selected by the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer as Coach of the Year;



WHEREAS, Coach Fowler led the Hawks to a 28-13 record, finishing second place

in Area 1-AAAA tournament and earning a trip to the state tournament;



WHEREAS, Coach Fowler, also the girls basketball coach at Hardaway, attended

volleyball clinics, researched the game on the Internet and talked with

experienced volleyball players like Hardaway's Jessica Dill as a coach new to

the game;



WHEREAS, his accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate Hardaway High School volleyball Coach Michael

Fowler upon his selection by the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer as Coach of the

Year. Columbus is proud his hard work and dedication and we wish him every

success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach

Michael Fowler.
