WHEREAS, Mr. Thomas M. Land, former employee with the Columbus Police
Department, died on May 14, 2005;
WHEREAS, Mr. Land retired on December 31, 1984 after 30 years with the Columbus
Police Department.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Thomas M. Land our sincere condolences
and deepest sympathy. Mr. Land was an outstanding employee with the Columbus
Police Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Harry A. Hill, former employee with the Metropolitan Airport, died
on May 21, 2005;
WHEREAS, Mr. Hill retired on January 31, 1991 after 24 years with the
Metropolitan Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Harry A. Hill our sincere condolences and
deepest sympathy. Mr. Hill was an outstanding employee with the Metropolitan
