WHEREAS, the Columbus Northern Little League 9-10 Year-old Softball All-Stars

recently won the 2004 District 8 Championship;



WHEREAS, the Northern Little League 9-10 Softball All-Stars won the District 8

Tournament with a record of 3-0 and defeated American 20-3, and defeated

Pioneer twice by scores of 18-17 and 9-8;



WHEREAS, this team's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this

Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate the following Columbus Northern Little

League 9-10 Year-old Softball All-Stars upon their victory in the 2004 District

8 Championship: Manager Gary Miller and Coaches Todd Nickerson, and Gary

Robinette, Team Mom Janet Atchley, and Players Erika Arroyo, Kathryn Conner,

Emily Cox, Lindsay Dutoit, Emily Greer, Ashleigh Heard, Brittany Lewis, Shekesa

McLaurin, Susan Nickerson, Morgan Robinette, Lauren Rudesheim, and Ryan

Thompson. Columbus is truly proud of this team?s hard work and dedication and

we wish them every success in the future.
