WHEREAS, the Financial Planning Division of the Columbus Finance Department

recently received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA)

Distinguished Budget Presentation Award;



WHEREAS, this marks the tenth consecutive year that Columbus has received this

honor from the GFOA;



WHEREAS, the award reflects the commitment of finance personnel to meeting the

highest principles of governmental budgeting and budget presentation;



WHEREAS, GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving 14,000 government

finance professionals in North America and its Distinguished Budget

Presentation Awards Program in the only national awards program in governmental

budgeting;



WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Financial Planning Division are worthy of

special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate the Financial Planning DivisionKay Love,

Angela Cole, Joe Riddle, April Harris, Leah Cadoura and Trish Dorton upon their

receipt of the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government

Finance Officers Association (GFOA). Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded

to the above-named recipients.
