TO THE CITY ATTORNEY:



MERITORIOUS RESOLUTIONS:



Have the staff to prepare a resolution congratulating those individuals

who won first, second and third place in the Muscogee County School?s District

Spelling Bee. (Request of Councilor Hunter)



Also, have the staff to prepare a resolution honoring Roderick Hood for

being a member of the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Team. (Request of

Councilor Hunter)



Have the staff to prepare a resolution honoring the Columbus High School

Cheerleaders for placing second in the State Cheerleading Competition and

Brookstone for placing fourth, as well as Hardaway High. (Request of Mayor

Poydasheff)

TO THE CITY MANAGER:



HOMELESS TASK FORCE:



Have the staff to discuss with the Homeless Task Force and see what

numbers, if any; they may be predicting which would impact residents in our

Housing Complexes that may be displaced from their homes with children if they

don?t comply with a new Federal law as it relates to those individuals living

in the Housing projects being required to volunteer a certain number of hours

of community service and if not, they will be evicted from their homes.

Have the City Attorney, City Manager and the Executive Director of the

Housing Authority to meet on this issue and determine how that Federal law is

going to be implemented and what guidelines will be coming down from the

Federal level. (Request of Mayor Poydasheff)



Have the staff to determine whether or not there is some type of

procedures for exemptions as it relates to this new Federal law.(Request of

Councilor Hunter)

MUSCOGEE COUNTY STUDENTS:



Have the staff to address the concerns as it relates to Muscogee County

School students having longer summer breaks and being without parental guidance

during this time and how will that affect the City. (Request of Councilor

Woodson))

LEADOFF CLASSIC:



Have the staff to determine whether or not the City will be hosting the

leadoff classic on this year, which is normally held in February. (Request of

Councilor Hunter)

EXPENSE REPORT:



Have the staff to give us a report on the final expenses by department, of

what percentage of their budget was actually spent.
