MINUTES # 24-04



The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at

2:00PM with Chairman Lawton Grantham, Assessors Richard Stallings, William

Braxton and Pat Hunter present. Also present was Chief Appraiser Martin J.

Land. Assessor Ann Grantham was absent.



Assessor Richard Stallings made a motion to approve Minutes #23-04, Assessor

William Braxton second the motion, motion carried unanimously.



The Board approved assessment corrections for real estate for the year 2003.



Met with Residential Division Chief Bob O?Brien, reviewed and approved the

following:



2004 Map Splits: 7

Permits: 26

Field Review: 1 (NT to Tax)



The Board approved tax exempt status for the year 2004 for the following

parcels which were field reviewed by the Residential Division: 190 024 008;

085 057 011; 087 039 016; 087 039 017; however, the request for parcel ID 087

039 033 was denied.



Met with Commercial Division Chief Linda King, reviewed and approved the

following:



2004 Map Split: 7

Permits: 18

Revaluations: 11



The Board approved tax exempt status for the year 2004 for parcel ID 185 023

015, which was reviewed by the Commercial Division.



Met with City Attorney Clifton Fay to discuss pending personal property court

cases.



Met with Personal Property Division Chief Oliver Juhan, reviewed and approved

the following:



Assessment Corrections: 1 (-)

Appeals: 43 (No Changes)
