RESOLUTION FOR SAM MITCHELL:
Have the Mayor to present this resolution to Mr. Sam Mitchell when he
comes to Columbus in August for the basketball camp. (Request of Councilor
Allen)

TO THE CITY ATTORNEY:
SMOKE FREE ORDINANCE:
Have the staff to contact Albany, Athens Clarke County and Savannah to
determine if they are looking at a smoke-free ordinance and ask them to provide
us with a copy of it. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)

ORCHARD GROVE CONTRACT:
Have the staff to look at the contract, because she would think that the
only individuals that the contract would apply to is whoever owns that mobile
home at the time the contract was signed. If someone purchased a mobile home
after the fact, then the City will not be responsible for that relocation.

TO THE CITY MANAGER:
SIGNATURE COMMUNITY:
Have the staff to do some research and look into a new program that is
under the Community Development Program, which is a grant in the amount of
$250,000 that is being offered to only 5 ? 10 select communities for housing,
downtown development and tourism. (Request of Councilor Woodson)
Have the staff to get together with Mr. Len Williams of the Housing
Authority to sit down and discuss it and look at developing an approach to
apply for this grant. (Request of Councilor Woodson)

FLAT ROCK MOUNTAIN TRAIL PROJECT:
Have the staff to provide information as to what the cost would be if
something should happen where the organization no longer exists and is unable
to maintain this trail, and we have to continue to maintain it. (Request of
Councilor Woodson)

HOPE VI PROJECT ? NAMES OF STREETS:
Have the staff to work with the consultants of the Hope VI Project to make
certain there is no duplication of street names in this area. (Request of
Councilor Turner Pugh)

COMPLAINTS:
Have the staff to provide information as to what percentage of complaints
that were received and substantiated to be true. (Request of Councilor Turner
Pugh)
Have the staff to look at putting a complaint form on the website to allow
citizens to complete that form and email back to the Police Department.
(Request of Councilor Hunter) Also, provide a place for a signature on that
form. (Request of Councilor Allen)
Have the Chief of Police and the Public Safety Director to look at
developing a mediation process to allow the complaining party and the officer
to come together and talk about what happened which brought the complaint
forth. (Request of Councilor Hunter)
Have the staff to outline the complaint process procedures and include the
complaint form that is used by our Citizens Service Center and air it on CCG
TV. (Request of Councilor Woodson)
