A RESOLUTION

No.



WHEREAS, the 2005 Georgia Games were recently held in Norcross, Georgia;



WHEREAS, three bowlers from the Columbus area, Lawrence Washington, Brandon

Rock and Kourtnie McCarty all participated in the 2005 bowling championships at

the Georgia Games;



WHEREAS, proceeds from the Georgia Games go to the Georgia Sports Foundation

and its affiliates;



WHEREAS, Kourtnie McCarty of LaGrange, Georgia won a silver medal during the

competition;



WHEREAS, her accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Kourtnie McCarty upon winning a silver medal

in the bowling championships at the 2005 Georgia Games held in Norcross,

Georgia. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Kourtnie McCarty.

the 9th day of August, 2005, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative
