I. PUBLIC DEFENDER CONTRACT AMENDMENT:



Authorization is requested for an amendment to the Public Defender

contract that will allow travel reimbursement to be increased from $0.28/mile

to $0.485/mile as approved by the State of Georgia. An agenda report and

resolution are attached.

II. TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT FOR TREES COLUMBUS, INC.:



Authorization is requested to accept Transportation Enhancement funds

for the Veterans Parkway Streetscape Improvement Project from the Georgia

Department of Transportation for FY 2004 and 2005 and to execute a Memorandum

of Understanding with Trees Columbus, Inc. that establishes the procedures and

expectations of the grant. An agenda report and resolution are attached.





III. ENTERPRISE ZONE TAX ABATEMENT:



Authorization is requested in support of The Kellogg Company (Kellogg)

expanding and creating additional jobs and receiving tax abatements and other

incentives as allowed by law. An agenda report and resolution are attached.

1. Pest Control Services (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 06-0021

Scope of Bid

Provide pest control services for eighty-six (86) City owned

buildings. Contract requirements include the control of pests (plus, mites,

ticks and spiders), rodents. The contract period will be for two (2) years

with the option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods, if

agreeable to both parties.



October 26, 2005

1. Service Contract for Fire Extinguisher (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 06-0023

Scope of Bid

Provide services for recharging, repairing and testing approximately

1,061 fire extinguishers at various locations and departments of the Columbus

Consolidated Government (the City). The contract period will be for two (2)

years with the option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods,

if agreeable to both parties.



2. Welding/Metal Fabricating Services (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 06-0025

Scope of Bid

Provide welding and fabrication services on an ?as needed? basis for

various facilities and equipment owned by the City. The term of the contract

period shall be for two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3)

additional twelve-month periods, if agreeable to both parties.



November 9, 2005

1. Osceola Court-Muscogee County Technology Park ? RFB No. 06-0022

Scope of Bid

The work shall consist of the construction of Osceola Court in the Muscogee

Technology Park, in accordance with the designated plans and specifications.

The Contractor shall be required to maintain public access to all residences

and businesses located within the project area.
