PUBLIC SAFETY PAY:



Meet with Public Safety to get their thoughts on what they believe would

be more amenable to them and bring something to the Council that addresses the

pay issues. (Request of Councilor Suber)





TO THE CITY ATTORNEY:



RESOLUTION EXPRESSING SUPPORT:



Have the staff to prepare a resolution for next week?s agenda expressing

the Council?s support for the naming of the Federal Court House after J. Robert

Elliott. (Request of Mayor Pro Tem Rodgers)





TO THE CITY MANAGER:



?THE SKY IS THE LIMIT?:



Have the staff to get with Mr. James Hollingsworth and his musical group

to prepare a video taping of them performing the song that was produced for

Columbus, Georgia ?The Sky is the Limit? to be aired on CCG-TV. (Request of

Councilor Poydasheff)

PUBLIC SAFETY PAY:



Have the staff to check into finding a way to increase the pay of the

Public Safety employees. (Request of Councilor Suber) When the staff

brings back suggestions for raising the pay of Public Safety, also include

recommendations for funding the increases. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)

COMPREHENSIVE PLAN:



Have the staff to check into bringing forth a plan for the growth of the

panhandle area. (Request of Councilor Allen)

PARKS:



Schedule a work session to discuss the enforcement of ordinances in the

City parks. (Request of Councilor Henderson) Also lets look into having

volunteers to go through the police academy as a means of assisting in the

enforcement of laws in the parks and have that as part of the discussion, when

this matter is scheduled for the work session. (Request of Councilor Woodson)

HOUSING AUTHORITY:



Check with the Housing Authority to find out why homeless individuals

are not authorized to live in the Housing areas, because there were some

concerns expressed by a gentleman regarding this matter. (Request of Councilor

Woodson)

INTERNAL LIGHTING:



Check into previous comments that were made concerning photometric

testing procedures for commercial areas that would be having excessive

lighting. (Request of Councilor Allen)
