TO THE CITY MANAGER:



ELECTION PROCESS:



Prior to the next election, have the staff to get together with the

Elections & Registration Department to do a segment on CCG-TV and explain the

process of the use of the new voting machines. (Request of Mayor Poydasheff)



Have the staff to also post a sign at each voting precinct providing the

Elections & Registrations Office telephone number where the citizens can call

if they have any questions or concerns not addressed at the polling place.

Also have staff get together with the local network stations and have them

run that segment as well when they brake for commercials; they can show the

service announcement showing how to use these machines. Also have the staff to

orally advise each citizen that voter assistance is available to them. (Request

of Councilor Hunter)
