A RESOLUTION

No.



WHEREAS, KaBoom, a nonprofit organization which supports the construction of

community playgrounds, recently announced the placement of a playground at

Benning Hills Park;



WHEREAS, this project is being made possible through the generosity of W. C.

Bradley Company and Home Depot, who have donated a total of $50,000 toward this

project;



WHEREAS, the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department will prepare the site and

the playground equipment is scheduled to be installed at Benning Hills Park on

September 25, 2003.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and express our deep appreciation to W. C. Bradley Company

and Home Depot for their generous contributions to the KaBoom Community

Playground which will be installed at Benning Hills Park. Let a copy of this

resolution be forwarded to Mr. William B. Turner of the W. C. Bradley Company

and Mr. David Raulerson of Home Depot in Columbus.

12th day of August, 2003, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
