? Good Morning

? Jenny Collins is out of town today and asked me to host this meeting

? Jim ? How did the subject; board members not living in the district they

represent come up at last meeting?

? Nancy had mailed out the meeting schedule and agenda to everybody. Some of

the letters came back to the Columbus Civic Center because the addresses were

wrong.

? Julius ? Mary asked ?because she has moved does it take her off the board??

? Nancy called Clerk of Council to see the proper procedures about board

members moving out of district. Clerk of Council put this issue to the

Councilors and they voted to remove the board members. Clerk of Council will

send out the official letters to the board members.

? Do not have enough members to approve last month?s minutes





? Dale ? Want to thank everybody for the support he got from the board

concerning the civic center budget. We want all the help and advice we can get

from the Advisory Board. Dale will meet with City Manager tomorrow on the

budget and show him the presentation on power point, which includes:

attendance, events, turn arounds, date to date graphs.

? Dale ? The civic center has a new Box Office Manager her name is Lisa Thomas;

we finally have a full staff.

? Dale - Karen Thompson, accountant at civic center is out with her mother.

Karen?s father passed away around six weeks ago and her mother is at hospice,

please remember her.



Financial Report



? Passed out financial report for February

? We have been busy

? Year to date

? Still got four months to go before fiscal year in July

? Jim ? How does this compare to last year?

? Dale ? Didn?t have GHSA Basketball or Barney last year

? Jim ? You have more events coming in this year compared to last year

? Dale ? Will get the board members a year to date figure for comparison



Robin Walker Marketing



? Article in paper last Sunday about Columbus Civic Center

? Article showed how busy civic center is

? How many events are coming in

? People can use the building for different types of events

? Conferences for companies, small or large in hosp. rooms upstairs

? Perfect place for weddings inside or out

? Disney advertisement out and running

? Outlining arena in media ? never done this before

? Advertisement in Columbus Times and Columbus Ledger

? Robin Lee and Robin Noell went to IAAM conference/it was a great conference

? Sponsorship ? Revenue ? Building sponsorship

? Sending out monthly e-mails



Introduction/Sara Ketcham



? Sara Ketcham is our new Tri-Facilities Sales & Marketing person

? Sara is housed at the Columbus Convention & Visitors Bureau

? Sara will be working with Columbus Civic Center, RiverCenter and Trade Center

? Sara will oversee all three and help with everybody

? Sara/Learning all the staff and glad to be onboard with everybody

Robin Noell Operations



? Big week next week for operations/five turn arounds will have to be done back

to back

? Taking care of regular maintenanceof the building

? Alabama tickets sold so far over 5,000

? Sold 19 seats at $1002.50 each

? Ticket sales are going great for Alabama

? Gerald Levert coming Mother?s Day, May 9, 2004

? Tickets goes on sale next week

? Trying to bring in Kenny Rogers

? Monsters Trucks coming on June 11 & 12

? Georgia Republican week of May 12th
