SUBJECT: Civic Center Advisory Board







There were some concerns raised at the April 6, 2004 Council Meeting with the

nomination of Mr. Mike Blackwell to succeed Mr. Jim Martin as the

representative for Council District Eight on the Civic Center Advisory Board.

Assistant City Attorney Jamie DeLoach was consulted and has advised that Mr.

Blackwell would be eligible to serve on this board as long as he does not vote

on any matters that would be considered a conflict of interest or take part in

any discussion on such matters. The same concept would also apply to Mr. Jose

Ricci.
