A RESOLUTION



NO.



WHEREAS, Aquavious Samuel of Jordan High School won the 2003 Class AAAA State

Championship in the long jump event at the Georgia High School Association meet

held in Jefferson, Georgia;



WHEREAS, Aquavious jumped a distance of 23 feet, 10.75 inches in the Class AAAA

competition;



WHEREAS, he will also take part in an international track and field competition

to be held in Australia;



WHEREAS, Aquavious' accomplishment at the State Championship track and field

meet is worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Aquavious Samuel upon his first place finish

in the 2003 Class AAAA long jump competition at the Georgia High School

Association meet held in Jefferson, Georgia. Columbus is truly proud of his

accomplishments and we wish him every success in the future. Let a copy of

this resolution be forwarded to Aquavious Samuel.
