THE FESTIVAL AT SOUTH COMMONS

September 25 to October 5, 2003



Columbus, GA ? The Columbus Civic Center and the City of Columbus announce The

Festival at South Commons ? a revamping of The Greater Columbus Fair. The

Festival at South Commons has launched two new anchor events: the Inaugural

Wing Fling 2003 - a champion chicken wing event sponsored by Clear Channel

Radio and Handiworks 2003 ? celebrating handmade arts and crafts sponsored by

Archway Radio.



Come and join us at Wing Fling 2003 on September 27, 2003 for the Chicken Wing

Taste-off, the announcement of the People?s Choice and Celebrity?s Choice

Awards, Best Sauce, Best Wings and contests for the general public. Enjoy

scrumptious chicken dishes presented by some of the area?s most popular

eateries. Other attractions include Backyard BBQ Champions, the official hosts

(contact our office for more details), local and regional radio personalities,

celebrity judges, local and regional entertainment and much more!!



The Handiworks 2003 feature will take place on October 4 and 5, 2003 at the

Festival at South Commons at the Columbus Civic Center and feature only

handmade arts and crafts from both local and regional artisans. From soap to

jewelry, photos to paintings, there will be something for everyone. Don?t miss

the other features at the Festival ? a spectacular midway, Giraffic Park, Kidz

Zone, the Inaugural Wing Fling 2003, Hollywood Racing Pigs, pony rides, local

and regional entertainment and concerts.
