AN ORDINANCE
NO.
An Ordinance amending Columbus Code Section 13-115 by providing that a
certified mail notice shall be sent to nonresident property owners who violate
the provisions of Columbus Code Section 13-113 (unauthorized accumulation of
weeds) and that if the owner fails to comply within a period of ten days from
the date of mailing of such notice, the Director of Public Services shall
proceed to clean the property and that the costs of such cleaning shall
constitute a lien against the property; and for other purposes.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Section 13-115 of the Columbus Code is hereby amended by deleting the
second and third sentences in their entirety and by substituting the following
two sentences:
"The certified mail notice shall allow ten (10) days from the date of
mailing such notice to correct the violation. After this notice and during a
period of twelve months, no further written notice or warning period shall be
required."
SECTION 2.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
