CONSENT AGENDA



(1) 1st Reading ? An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 05-17, which amended the

budgets for the fiscal year 2005 beginning July 1, 2004, and ending June 30,

2005, for certain funds of the Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia,

appropriating amounts shown in each fund for personnel actions and various

other activities; and for other purposes. (Budget Chairperson Pugh)



(2) 2nd Reading - Rezoning property located at 5124 Buena Vista Road is

proposed for rezoning from R-1A (Low Density Residential) District to C-3

(General Commercial) District. (5-A-05-Williams) (Councilor Rodgers) (The

Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Division recommend conditional

approval.)



(3) 2nd Reading - Rezoning property located at 1322 & 1328 16th Street is

proposed for rezoning from R-3A (Medium Density Residential) District to A-O

(Apartment-Office) District. (6-CA-05-D.R.Properties,LL) (Councilor Rodgers)

(The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Division recommend

conditional approval.)



(4) 2st Reading - An ordinance authorizing the members of the Board of Honor to

serve concurrently on other boards of the consolidated government. (Mayor

Pro-tem Rodgers)



There will be a pre-council briefing Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 8:45a.m. in

the Council Chamber Conference Room.

(5) 2nd Reading ? Forty-five day moratorium on applications for wireless

communication facility applications.(Councilor Henderson)





(6) STREET ACCEPTANCE - FOSTER LAND AND THE DETENTION POND

LOCATED IN THE SOUTH ADDITION, ANGLIN COURT:



Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Foster Lane

and the Detention Pond located in the south addition, Anglin Court. The

Department of Engineering has inspected this street and detention pond and

recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, map and resolution are attached.





(7) STREET ACCEPTANCE - WRENWOOD DRIVE, WREN CREEK DRIVE

AND SPARROW COURT:



Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Wrenwood

Drive, Wren Creek Drive and Sparrow Court located in Section One, Wrenwood.

The Department of Engineering has inspected these streets and recommends the

acceptance. An agenda report, map and resolution are attached.





(8) RESOLUTION:



Commending and congratulating the Columbus Civic Center employees and Director

J. Dale Hester upon their receipt of the 2004 Prime Site Award by Facilities

Magazine.

(a) Petition submitted by Wright Wade to rezone approximately 5.179 acre of

property located at 6008 Billings Road from an R-1 District to an R-1A

District. (Recommended for conditional approval by both the Planning Advisory

(b) Petition submitted by Grey Rock Development to rezone approximately 334.5

acre of property located near the NW & SW corners of Veterans Parkway &

Scope of PQ

Provide clearing, grubbing and debris disposal at the Garfield Drive Radio

Tower Site. The area to be cleared, approximately 0.33 acres, is approximately

150 feet by 95 feet plus the area approximately 26 feet wide for the driveway.

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) regenerative air municipal street sweeper to be used by the

Street Improvements Division of the Public Services Department.

1. Putting Green at Bull Creek Golf Course ? RFP No. 05-0018

Scope of RFP

Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) wishes to obtain Construction

Services for a 10,000 square foot putting green with 10 in/out heads (Hunter

G85) at Bull Creek Golf Course. The greens shall be constructed according to

the USGA publication, ?USGA Recommendations for a Method of Putting Green

Construction?, 1993 revision.

1. Rehabilitation of the Ma Rainey Home ? RFB No. 05-0054

Scope of Bid

Provide rehabilitation of the Ma Rainey Home, which is a historic building.

All work shall be performed in accordance with the Secretary of Interior?s

Standards for Rehabilitation. The work includes, but is not limited to,

construction of a new parking area; selective demolition of all existing

electrical wiring, electrical panels, plumbing and gas piping, foundation

repair; rehabilitation to the building?s exterior; installation of new

electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems; installation of new insulation;

rehabilitation, repair and/or replacement of all interior wall and ceiling

finishes; rehabilitation and repair of all interior and exterior doors and

windows; minor structural work on stairway; rehabilitation and repair, or

replacement of wood flooring; new architectural woodwork and cabinetry; a

fire/alarm security system.
