(A) MID SIZE SEDANS FOR SHERIFF?S DEPARTMENT



It is requested that Council approve the purchase of three mid-size sedans

(Mailbu) via Georgia SWC S-000483 from Bill Heard Chevrolet in the amount of

$44,415.00. The new vehicles will be used for administrative purposes by the

Sheriff?s Department.



Funds are budgeted in the FY02 Budget, 1999 SPLOST Project Fund ? 99 SPLOST

POL/FIRE VEH/EQUIP - Automobiles; 0540-695-2123-TXSH-7721.

(B) UTILITY VEHICLES



It is requested that Council approve the purchase of two 4WD (Blazer) Utility

Vehicles via Georgia SWC S-000483 from Bill Heard Chevrolet in the amount of

$42,010.00 ($21,005 each). The new vehicles will be used by the Tax Assessors

Office and the Highway & Roads Division.



Funds are budgeted in the FY02 Budget, Bond and Lease Purchase Pools ? Light

Trucks; 0542-200-5000-GMA-7722.

WHEREAS, the new vehicles will be used for administrative purposes by

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS

FOLLOWS:



That the City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase three mid-size sedans

(Malibu) via Georgia SWC S-000483, from Bill Heard Chevrolet in the amount of

$44,415.00. Funds are budgeted in FY02 Budget, 1999 SPLOST Project Fund ? 99
