Recommendation
Approve the Resolution authorizing the City Manager to grant an easement to be \n \n donated to the Federal Government for Force Protection Security measures (see \n \n attached letters and maps).

Background
The City owns property currently consisting of 1.12 acres (10 feet wide x 5280

feet in length). The construction of a fence will enable measures of Force

Protection Security to access control points in and around the Fort Benning

military installation.
Analysis
The installation of the fence will not interfere with the current use of the

property. The easement would be granted with conditions as provided on the

attached letters. The Government will bear all cost associated with the

construction and continued maintenance of said fence.

Council must approve the granting of an easement on City property to the

Federal Government.

Approve the attached Resolution for the donation of land to the Federal
