Background
-
?16B-13-2 of the Columbus Code was created by Ordinance 71-213, Ch. 13, ? 2 on
August 17, 1971 and authorized public inspection of the ?name, address, class
title and salary, and eligible lists? of employees. This ordinance was adopted
at a safer time in our history when stalking, harassment and hate crime was
almost unknown in our community. Today these are very legitimate issues of
concern and we do not believe that it remains appropriate or prudent to release
this personal information on our employees.
