Approve the resolution authorizing a variance to the Subdivision Regulations to \n \n allow a distance of less than 800 feet for street intersections along an \n \n arterial roadway for a proposed street serving 7470 Veterans Parkway.

Background
The property at 7470 Veterans Parkway is being developed for commercial use

with a proposed public street accessing Veterans Parkway. The construction of

the proposed street will be less than the required 800 feet from Kayne Court.

It will be located 395 feet south of Kayne Court.
Analysis
The Traffic Engineering Division and Georgia DOT reviewed the site plans

recommending approval of the requested variance.



Alternatives: A denial would prevent the type of development and improvement

planned for the property.
Financial Considerations
There are no costs to the City beyond administrative costs for permitting and

inspections.
