Background

Section "L" - Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf Community, has 21 residential

lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for

acceptance by the city.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Turnberry Lane and Wailea Court

located in Section "L" - Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf Community. A description

of the property is as follows: "All those tracts and parcels of land situate,

lying and being in the State of Georgia, County of Muscogee, and City of

Columbus, and being known and designated as shown on that certain map or plat

entitled "Section "L" - Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf Community, Part of Land Lot

268, 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" dated June 30, 2003,

made by Moon, Meeks, Mason & Vinson, Inc., and recorded in Plat Book 149, Folio

40, of the records in the Office of the clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee

County Georgia, to which plat reference is hereby made for more specific

dimensions, as the following herein described streets, to-wit:" All of Wailea

Court and Turnberry Lane, including those portions adjacent to Veterans Parkway

for an acceleration and deceleration lane, as shown on said map or plat.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Turnberry Lane and Wailea Court

located in Section "L" - Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf Community.
