Background

The portion of Orchard Hill Drive and the portion of Glen Valley Drive located

in Orchard Phase Six, Garrett Creek Subdivision has thirty-four residential

lots. The streets have been improved and meet required specifications for

acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying the portion of Orchard Hill

Drive and the portion of Glen Valley Drive located in Orchard Phase Six,

Garrett Creek Subdivision. A description of the property is as follows: All

those lots, tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Land Lots 129 & 160

of the 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown extensions

of Orchard Hill Drive and Glen Valley Drive as said roads and right-of-ways are

shown on the map or plat entitled "Orchard Phase Six, Garrett Creek

Subdivision, Part of Land Lot 129 & 160, 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia", prepared by Hobbs Smith & Associates, Inc., dated December

19, 2003, said revised plat recorded in Plat Book 150, page 103, in the Office

of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to the portion of Orchard Hill Drive

and the portion of Glen Valley Drive located in Orchard Phase Six, Garrett

Creek Subdivision.
