Section "J" - Phase III, Maple Ridge Golf Community has 24 residential lots.

The street has been improved and meets the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Boone Links Lane located in

Section "J" - Phase III, Maple Ridge Golf Community. A description of the

property is as follows: All that tract and parcel of land situate, lying and

being in the State of Georgia, County of Muscogee and City of Columbus, and

being known and designated on that certain map or plat entitled "Section "J" -

Phase III, Maple Ridge Golf Community, lying in Land Lots 19 & 20, 8th Land

District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Moon, Meeks, Mason &

Vinson, Inc., under date of January 10, 2003, a copy of same being recorded in

Plat Book 148, Folio 27, of the records in the Office of the Clerk of the

Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, to which plat reference is hereby

made for more specific dimensions, as the following herein described streets as

all of Boone Links Lane and any cul-de-sac adjacent to said street, all of

which are shown on the referenced plat.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Boone Links Lane located in Section

"J" - Phase III, Maple Ridge Golf Community.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO BOONE LINKS LANE, LOCATED

IN SECTION "J" - PHASE III, MAPLE RIDGE GOLF COMMUNITY ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS,

GEORGIA.



WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has submitted a deed conveying to Columbus, Georgia,

Boone Links Lane located in Section "J" - Phase III, Maple Ridge Golf

Community; a full description of said property being shown in said deed; and,



WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,



WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

street for acceptance by the City and recommends acceptance of same.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:



That certain deed dated the __23rd__ day of _January, 2003_, conveying to

Columbus, Georgia, all of Boone Link Lane, located in Section "J" - Phase III,

Maple Ridge Golf Community, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of

Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the deed records in

the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A

copy of said deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this

Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

4th day of February, 2003, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote

of

members of said Council.
