Approval is requested of a resolution to enter into an agreement with Norfolk \n \n Southern for railroad crossing improvements at Williams Road, Veterans @ 9th \n \n Street, Broad Way @ 9th Street and 2nd Avenue @ 9th Street and other crossings \n \n as needed for a sum not to exceed $200,000.

Background

The City and Norfolk Southern have worked together in the past to improve rail

road crossing throughout the County. City Staff has work with Norfolk for the

proposed improvements on Williams Road and 9th Street. The City will

coordinate the work schedule with Norfolk and pay Norfolk for the material and

labor for performing the work.
