Background

The City of Columbus, Georgia participated in the creation of and continues to

participate in the Valley Partnership-Joint Development Authority. Under

provisions of O.C.G.A. 36-62-5.1, the Joint Development Authority may be

amended by the appropriate resolutions of the participating governing bodies.

Therefore, the approval of this resolution amending the Articles of the

Organization is necessary to provide for the addition of the City of Manchester

to the Valley Partnership-Joint Development Authority.
