Recommendation
Approve the attached Resolution to execute a Quit Claim Deed and sell of \n \n surplus property located at 1615 and 1623 16th Avenue in Weracoba Heights, \n \n #340-83, (as identified on the attached map and plats).

Background
Resolution#340-83 (attached) had been established for the previous owner and

the adjacent owner to take claim of the property. The adjacent owner took

title by Quit Claim Deed and made payment pursuant to Resolution #340-83.

However, the predecessor in title to Lot 6 Block "A" Weracoba Heights did not

make payment or accept title for his portion. The present owner would like to

take title by Quit Claim Deed and make payment to the southern half of the

property located at 1615 and 1623 16th Avenue in Weracoba Heights, Columbus

Georgia.
Analysis
The property consists of 3825 square feet +/- and is not needed for City

purposes.
Financial Considerations
The present property owner at 1615 16th Avenue in Weracoba Heights has agreed

to pay the City $1,437.50.

Legal Considerations
Council must approve the execution of a Quit Claim Deed.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the attached Resolution and authorize the City Manager to execute a

Quit Claim Deed of the above-identified property as shown on plats dated April

7, 1994 and May 5, 1968 (copy attached).
