Recommendation

Approval is requested of a resolution covering acquisition and Clearance of \n \n Rights-of-Way with control of future encroachments and regulation of vehicular \n \n traffic on highway construction project along with the execution of a \n \n Certificate of Ownership and Maintenance Agreement and subsequent agreements \n \n necessary to implement the project with the Georgia Department of \n \n Transportation for CSSTP-0006-00(472), PI#0006472, Eastern Connector (from Red \n \n Arrow Road to Chattsworth Road), 1.16 miles.

The Department of Transportation in cooperation with Columbus, Georgia desires

to construct the road listed above.

Analysis

This Project is listed in the Transportation Improvement Program.

Financial Considerations

The property that falls within the Right of Way, for said project, is in

ownership of the City of Columbus.

Legal Considerations

The City Attorney has no problem with these agreements, except for the

indemnification clause.

Ownership and Maintenance Agreement and subsequent agreements necessary to
