Background

That portion of Sandy View Drive, that portion of Sandy Oak Drive and that

portion of Omega Drive located in Addition Six, Roosevelt Heights has

twenty-two residential lots. The streets have been improved and meets the

required specifications for acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Sandy View

Drive, that portion of Sandy Oak Drive and that portion of Omega Drive located

in Addition Six, Roosevelt Heights. A description of the property is as

follows: All those lots, tracts and land lying and being in Land Lot 45 of the

9th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as all of Sandy

View Drive and extensions of Omega Drive and Sandy Oak Drive as said roads and

public right-of-way are shown on the map or plat entitled "Sixth Addition to

Roosevelt Heights, Lying in Land Lot 45, 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia", prepared by Hobbs Smith & Associates, Inc., dated January

3rd, 2005 said plat recorded in Plat Book 153, page 69, in the Office of the

Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to that portion of Sandy View Drive,

that portion of Sandy Oak Drive and that portion of Omega Drive located in

Addition Six, Roosevelt Heights.
