Background
Section Two, Farrwoods Cove Subdivision, currently consists of sixteen

residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been submitted to the City conveying an extension of Wandering Lane

and Eging Court located in Section Two, Farrwoods Cove Subdivision. A

description of the property is as follows: All those tracts and parcels of

land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and

comprising of a portion of Wandering Court in that certain subdivision known as

Section Two, Farrwoods Cove, as said streets and portions of said streets are

shown upon a major plat of said subdivision recorded in Plat Book 147, Folio 16

in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia,

and to which map or plat reference is hereby made for a more particular

description of the streets hereby conveyed.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to an extension of Wandering Lane and

Eging Court located in Section Two, Farrwoods Cove Subdivision.

















A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO AN EXTENSION OF WANDERING

LANE AND EGING COURT LOCATED IN SECTION TWO, FARRWOODS COVE SUBDIVISION ON

BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, an extension of Wandering Lane and Eging Court located in Section Two,

Farrwoods Cove Subdivision; a full description of said property being shown in

said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

streets for acceptance by the City and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated the _10th_ day of October, 2002, conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, an extension of Wandering Lane and Eging Court located in Section Two,

Farrwoods Cove Subdivision, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of

Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the deed records in

the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A

copy of said deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this

Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

12th day of November, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote

of

members of said Council.
