The streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been submitted conveying to the City, Leaf Brook Court, Leaf Brook

Drive and Grandtree Way located in Section One, Grandtree Subdivision.

Description of the property is as follows: All those tracts of land situate,

lying and being in Land Lot 38, 18th District, Columbus, Muscogee County,

Georgia, more particularly described as follows: All of Leaf Brook Court, all

of Leaf Brook Drive and all of Grandtree Way lying in Section One, Grandtree

Subdivision as shown on the plat entitled "Section One, Grandtree, Lying in

Land Lot 38, 18th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia", prepared by

Moon, Meeks, Mason & Vinson, Inc., dated January 10, 2002, said plat recorded

in Plat Book 145 , Folio 52 , in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of

Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written Resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting the deed to Leaf Brook Court, Leaf Brook Drive

and Grandtree Way located in Section One, Grandtree Subdivision.















A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO LEAF BROOK COURT, LEAF

BROOK DRIVE AND GRANDTREE WAY LOCATED IN SECTION ONE, GRANDTREE SUBDIVISION.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, Leaf Brook Court, Leaf Brook Drive and Grandtree Way located in

Section One, Grandtree Subdivision, a full description of said property being

shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

streets and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

THAT certain deed dated January 15, 2002, conveying to Columbus, Georgia, Leaf

Brook Court, Leaf Brook Drive and Grandtree Way located in Section One,

Grandtree Subdivision, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of

Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the deed records in

the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy

of said deed is attached hereto and by this reference made a part of this

Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

5thday of February, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote

of

members of said Council.
