Background

Harco Drive located in Bellhaven Subdivision has sixteen residential lots. The

Owner has maintained the Detention Pond since its construction. The Street and

Detention Pond have been improved and meets the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been submitted conveying to the City conveying Harco Drive and the

Detention Pond located in Bellhaven Subdivision. A description of the property

is as follows: "All that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in

Land Lot 108 of the 7th Land District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and

being certain roads and road right-of-ways, more particularly described as all

of Harco Drive and Detention Pond, as shown on the map or plat entitled "Final

Plat of Bellhaven Subdivision, Lying in Land Lot 108, Seventh Land District

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia", dated August 13, 2003 prepared by

Allen-Simpson, Inc., surveyors."

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Harco Drive and Detention Pond

located in Bellhaven Subdivision.
