Background

Cumbaa Court and that portion of Glenmere Drive located in Brookwood has twenty

-seven residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Cumbaa Court and that portion of

Glenmere Drive located in Brookwood. A description of the property is as

follows: All those tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Part of Land

Lot 23 of the Ninth Land District, Columbus, Georgia, Muscogee County, Georgia,

and shown as all of Glenmere Drive and Cumbaa Court as said roads and public

rights-of-way are shown on the map or plat entitled "Final Plat of Brookwood

Subdivision", prepared by Barrett-Simpson, Inc. dated February 4, 2005, and

recorded in Plat Book 153, Page 112, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior

Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Cumbaa Court and that portion of

Glenmere Drive located in Brookwood.
