Background
Deerwood Court and that portion of Deerwood Lane located in Section One,

Deerwood Subdivision has 25 residential lots. The streets have been improved

and meets the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Deerwood Court and that portion

of Deerwood Lane located in Section One, Deerwood Subdivision. A description of

the property is as follows: All those tracts and parcels of land situate,

lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and comprising of a

portion of Deerwood Lane and all of Deerwood Court in that certain subdivision

known as SECTION ONE, DEERWOOD, as said streets are shown upon a map or plat of

said subdivision recorded in Plat Book 150, folio 43, 44 & 45 in the office of

the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and to which map

or plat reference is hereby made for a more particular description of the

streets hereby conveyed.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Deerwood Court and that portion of

Deerwood Lane in Section One, Deerwood Subdivision.
