Background
Bibb City had been in the process of improving the infrastructure within their

boundaries prior to being incorporated into the City of Columbus. Bibb City

had received a grant ($500,000) from the State to assist in the planning and

construction of the infrastructure improvements. JJG provided the planning,

construction documents and contract administration of these improvements.

These improvemnents are approximately 50 percent complete. The overall grant

administration is through Lower Chattahoochee.



In order to develop a funding strategy City staff is requesting JJG provide

additional services to include updated sewer system map. results of

inspections, recommended improvements, implementation schedule and cost

estimates.
Analysis
Based on JJG providing professional services in the start up of this project,

it is the recommendation of staff to expand JJG's scope of work to include a

plan for future improvements in Bibb City.
Financial Considerations
Funds are available in general fund contingency.

The City Attorney has no objection to this agreement.

A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT TO EXPAND A CONTRACT WITH JORDAN, JONES

AND GOULDING (JJG) FOR DEVELOPING A PLAN FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS FOR

BIBB CITY.

WHEREAS, JJG was under contract with Bibb City to perform professional services

in regard to infrastructure improvements; and,

WHEREAS, The improvements were funded by the State and administrated by Lower

Chattahoochee RDC; and,

WHEREAS, The City of Columbus wishes to expand JJG's scope to develop a plan

for future infrastructure improvements in Bibb City.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement

to expand a contract with JJG for developing a plan for infrastructure

improvements for Bibb City in an amount not to exceed $22,000.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the
