Recommendation

Approve ordinance enacting a "No Parking Anytime from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM \n \n Weekdays" zone along the north curb of Acacia Drive beginning at the east curb \n \n of Rosemont Drive and running easterly a distance of 321 feet. Enact a "No \n \n Parking Anytime from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Weekdays" zone along the north curb of \n \n Gurley Drive beginning at the east curb of Acacia Drive and running east to the \n \n west curb of Chalfonte Drive, and along the east curb of Gurley Drive beginning \n \n at the north curb of Warm Springs Road and running north to the south curb of \n \n Chalfonte Drive.

Background

The Traffic Engineering Division received requests to amend the parking

restrictions along Gurley Drive. The problem found was that the practice of

parking cars on both sides of this roadway eliminated two-way traffic.

Analysis

The Traffic Engineering Division surveyed ten (10) property owners in this

area. There were five (5) responses, all concurring. The Traffic Engineer

recommends approval.

Financial Considerations

The cost of installing Official Traffic Control signs will be derived from the

Traffic Engineering operating budget.

All ordinances require the approval of Columbus Council Approval.

Weekdays" zone along the north curb beginning at the east curb of Rosemont

Drive and running easterly a distance of 321 feet and long the north curb of

Gurley Drive beginning at the east curb of Acacia Drive and running east to the

west curb of Chalfonte Drive, and along the east curb of Gurley Drive beginning

at the north curb of Warm Springs Road and running north to the south curb of

Chalfonte Drive.
