Background
-
The City owns property being use as a Recreation Center at 501 29th Street
a/k/a 015-003-005 near the North Columbus Ball Park. Atmos Energy Corporation
request an easement (20 X 38 ft.) located and running parallel to the south
property line of the Right-of-Way on 29th Street at the 29th Street Recreation
Center. The easement will allow Atmos Energy Corporation to enter upon said
land at all times for the purpose to lay, maintain, operate, remove or replace,
a gas distribution main, regulators and all necessary appurtenances. Atmos
Energy Corporation would like to ingress, egress and regress to said property
(see attachments, named "Right-of-Way and Easement" with map named Exhibit "A"
).
-
Analysis
-
The installation, repair and inspection to the pipeline, regulators and
appurtenance will not interfere with the current use of the property. The
easement would be granted with conditions as provided in the Right-of-Way and
Easement document attached. The Engineering Department has reviewed the
request and recommends the granting of the easement.
