Section Sixteen, Sweetwater Village, currently consists of eight residential

lots. The street has been improved and meets the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been submitted to the City conveying Cherry Wood Drive located in

Section Sixteen, Sweetwater Subdivision. A description of the property is as

follows: "All that tract and parcel of land, situate, lying and being in

Columbus, Georgia, and comprising of a portion of Cherry Wood Drive in that

certain subdivision known as Section Sixteen, Sweetwater Village, as said

portion of said street is shown upon a map or plat of said subdivision recorded

in Plat Book 147, folio 54 & 55 in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior

Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and to which map or plat reference is hereby

made for a more particular description of the street hereby conveyed."
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Cherry Wood Drive located in Section

Sixteen, Sweetwater Village.











A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO CHERRY WOOD DRIVE LOCATED

IN SECTION SIXTEEN, SWEETWATER VILLAGE ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying to

Columbus, Georgia, Cherry Wood Drive located in Section Sixteen, Sweetwater

Village; a full description of said property being shown in said deed; and.

WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required

specifications for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected

said street for acceptance by the City; and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS

FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated the __27th__ day of September, 2002,

conveying to Columbus, Georgia, all of Cherry Wood Drive located in Section

Sixteen, Sweetwater Village, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk

of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the deed

records in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is hereto attached and by this

reference made a part of the Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the 8th day of October, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative

vote of
