Background
The Traffic Engineering Division received site plans that indicated a need to

request a variance to the City Code requirements for commercial driveways

accessing Moon Road and Stone Mill Drive.
Analysis
The Traffic Engineering Division reviewed the site plans and recommends

approval of the variance.
Financial Considerations
There are no costs to the City beyond administrative cost for permitting and

inspections.

requires Council approval.

A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A VARIANCE TO CITY CODE SECTION 22-32(A) (6) (a) TO

ALLOW THE RADIUS OF A DRIVEWAY TO CROSS THE PROPERTY LINE FOR CVS PHARMACY

LOCATED 7042 MOON ROAD FOR ONE COMMERCIAL DRIVEWAY ACCESSING MOON ROAD AND FOR

ONE COMMERCIAL DRIVEWAY ACCESSING STONE MILL DRIVE: AUTHORIZING THE TRAFFIC

ENGINEER TO ISSUE A PERMIT WITH SAID VARIANCES.

WHEREAS, CVS Pharmacy is developing the property located at 7042 Moon Road:

and,

WHEREAS, CVS Pharmacy submitted a site plan indicating radius of the commercial

driveway accessing Moon Road and the commercial driveway accessing Stone Mill

Drive will cross the adjacent property line: and,



WHEREAS, the adjacent property owner is Columbus Hospice, Inc. for both

roadways having an access easement recorded for both driveways and

agrees to the variance request; and,



WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineer has investigated the requests recommending the

variances be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

THAT THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO ISSUE A PERMIT FOR A

VARIANCE TO CITY CODE SECTION 22-32 (A) (6) (a) TO ALLOW THE RADIUS OF

DRIVEWAYS TO CROSS THE PROPERTY LINE FOR CVS PHARMACY LOCATED 7042 MOON ROAD

FOR ONE COMMERCIAL DRIVEWAY ACCESSING MOON ROAD AND FOR ONE COMMERCIAL DRIVEWAY

ACCESSING STONE MILL DRIVE.
