Background
Sandy Parkway, Fountain Ridge Business Park, has six commercial lots. The

street has been improved and meets the required specifications for acceptance

by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Sandy Parkway located in

Fountain Ridge Business Park. A description of the property is as follows:

"All that tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in the State of

Georgia, County of Muscogee and the City of Columbus, and being shown and

designated on that certain map or plat of Fountain Ridge Business Park; said

map or plat being entitled "Fountain Ridge Business Park, Lying in Land Lots

271 & 293, 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia", dated July 10,

2003, made by Thomas L. French, Jr., and recorded in Plat Book 149, folio 58,

in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court, Muscogee County, Georgia, to

which plat reference is made for more specific dimensions, as the following

described street, to-wit: Sandy Parkway, being 60 feet in width and having a

turn-around at its eastern end thereof and extending easterly from the eastern

line of Fortson Road".
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Sandy Parkway located in Fountain

Ridge Business Park.
