Background
JJG has been involved in the planning, construction document design and

construction administration for the Bibb City Storm Water Improvements since

2000. JJG was under contract with Bibb City to design Phase One Improvements

that were funded through a Department of Community Affairs Grant in the amount

of $500,000. This project has been completed.

The City of Columbus has also engaged JJG to follow-up the Phase One Project

by completing an evaluation of existing conditions in order to identify what

additional improvements are needed. This evaluation has been completed.

The evaluation estimates that the improvements will cost approximately 3+

million dollars. The City of Columbus currently has $1.5 million in Community

Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds that have been approved and committed for

Phase 2. In addition funds are included in the upcoming Columbus Building

Authority Lease Revenue Bonds, Series 2003.

JJG would be responsible for the design of all the necessary Storm Water

Improvements in Bibb City.
