Recommendation
Approval is requested to transfer all the property on Blanchard Blvd. currently \n \n in the name of the City of Columbus to the Development Authority. This does \n \n not include the 10+/- acres identified as "Rugby Field" on the attached plat.

Background
The Development Authority was created to develop for the public good and

promote the general welfare of the State of Georgia. The City believes that it

is beneficial and for the purposes of which the Authority was created, to

transfer the above described City owned property. The property will benefit

the Development Authority's promotion of economic development. The City will

keep in its inventory the 10+/- acres identified and leased to the Rugby

Team.
Analysis
The City no longer needs the property identified for transfer.
Financial Considerations
The City will pay the cost of appraisals and /or surveys for the property as

reasonably needed by the parties.

Legal Considerations
The City understands and agrees that the City will be responsible for any

damages, costs and expenses, including remediation and all other environmental

liabilities due to contamination of the properties while the properties were

owned by the City (the "Environmental Responsibility").
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the attached Resolution for the transfer of City owned property.
